A recursion in computer science is a method of solving a problem where the solution depends on solutions to smaller instances of the same problem (as opposed to iteration). Thus, this is recursion.

In a combined axis, we can have several measures while in a dual-axis, well, the dual says it all, we can only have two measures. Kind of weird to talk about a left and right Y-axis. Now if we synchronize the axis in the dual-axis depends on the case.
